Reverie

Reverie (Randyjw; December 21, 2016)

In the midsts of the mists where I sit

Each memory a reverie commit

to remember in slumber permit

to neglect to forget to acquit

In the night by the light at my right

by the glow you will go — that I know

Can’t hold on to a song so long gone

when its notes once awrote far off float

Away to the bay of the day

the potter through water does saunter

with no warning the morning succoring

in cheating its greetings so fleeting
