  1. Very moving selection – excellent.

    • Thanks, Dolly; glad you liked it.

I really liked your latest post (Chocodoodles), where you put forth the occurences of the Dutch-Jewish situation preceding the Holocaust, etc.

I’m also really glad you included the Bild newspaper’s response in solidarity with the Jewish community. Their printing of the paper cut-out Kippa might be one of the most effective ways for the nation of its citizens to join in unity against the latent antisemitism and discrimination rising up, again, amongst its people, and combat it by taking the fight broadly public. You’re a really good writer, and you did a really good job. Thank you for writing it. 🙂

      • Thank you so much, dear Rachel! Coming from you, it’s the highest compliment, as you understand the issues more than many people. I was burning inside, until I got this post out. In Russia, where we had internal passports with the infamous 5th line that read “Jewish,” and some Jews bribed passport clerks to change it to Russian or Ukrainian, we used to say, “They don’t hit your passport – they smash your face.” Did it help the assimilated German Jews who had claimed that they were more German, than the Germans, to escape the fires of Auschwitz?

        • I know. Six million certainly weren’t an aberration delegated to die by just fringe-thinkers. Anne Frank certainly wasn’t helped.

Dershowitz wrote a good article, out today. It’s the supporters and sympathizers of antisemitic viewpoints, which allow such things to happen.

I was so happy when I saw the Bild’s paper kippa. I wanted to write about it, but was just too tired, and in too much of a funk, these past few days. So, I’m really glad you did… I’ve heard it both ways, about the Dutch. But, Dershowitz gives that important reminder to us all, that, basically, the Holocaust couldn’t have occurred through just a singular, isolated event, nor through a singular person like Hitler. This is what we need to learn and to remember. What bothers me is all the pc-speak and lip-service paid to being politically correct-speakers ABOUT the Holocaust and today’s antisemitism, while those same speakers stab us in the back. They need to be called out, exposed, and they need to bear consequences. For instance, the newest antisemites in office who are being supported by the Democratic party, without repercussion for their bigotry. We’re going to go to H*** in a handbasket quickly, if this keeps up.
